Representatives of OKULA Nýrsko recently attended a professional seminar organized by Kuboušek, focused on presenting the ColorForm® technology developed by KraussMaffei.
What is ColorForm® Technology?
ColorForm® technology is based on the In-Mold Coating (IMC) principle, an advanced manufacturing process that combines plastic injection molding with the application of a high-quality coating directly inside the mold. This process enables the production of parts with a premium surface finish in a single manufacturing cycle, eliminating the need for separate painting or finishing operations.
What Benefits Does In-Mold Coating Offer?
The technology provides a range of advantages, including:
- Enhanced surface quality
- The possibility of achieving either high-gloss or matte finishes
- Improved resistance to scratches and UV radiation
- Reduced process complexity
IMC technologies are increasingly being used in the automotive industry, consumer electronics, household appliances, and industrial applications, where both aesthetics and functionality play an important role.
Why Is ColorForm® of Interest to OKULA Nýrsko?
At OKULA, we continuously monitor technological developments and emerging trends that can contribute to the further advancement of our manufacturing capabilities and create added value for our customers. Participation in professional seminars and industry events provides valuable insights into the future direction of plastics processing and advanced manufacturing technologies.
We consider technologies such as In-Mold Coating and ColorForm® to be highly interesting and relevant to the ongoing development of our industry. As market demands for visually appealing, durable, and sustainable plastic components continue to grow, these solutions represent an important area of development for the plastics processing sector.
We would like to thank Kuboušek for organizing this informative and inspiring event. We will continue to follow developments in this field and look forward to exploring further innovations and industry trends at Fakuma 2026, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for plastics processing technologies.
