Painting
We paint plastic parts on four robotic lines with water-based paints, including multiple colour layers. We can handle parts measuring up to 1,000 × 1,200 mm.
Painting of plastic parts
We have been painting plastic parts since 2001, when we launched production on our first painting line with 2 robotic workstations. We currently operate 4 robotic painting lines, which allow the application of water-based paints, including multiple colour layers.
If needed, we can also optimise established processes – see the case study: Painting plastic parts for BMW: process optimisation and a 10% cost reduction
Our painted parts are found in vehicles of many global brands (BMW) as well as leading manufacturers of home appliances (Bosch, Siemens) and air conditioning units (Daikin).
Parts
In our automated paint shops we can paint plastic parts ranging from relatively small ones up to larger parts measuring approximately 1,000 × 1,200 mm. Parts are pre-treated with isopropyl alcohol, air blow-off and ionised air.
Painting lines
Painting is done on 4 robotic lines with 6-axis ABB robots. The entire process takes place against a water wall using water-based paints. We can also apply multiple colour coats.
As part of the painting process, we can work with the customer or designer and our paint supplier to develop and sample custom colour shades, right through to approval of the solution for series production.
